“The right person believed in me at the right time!” Ruby and her mum were huge fans of our restaurants, coming in weekly for our buffets. She loved it so much that on the day she turned 16, she joined the front‑of‑house team. Ten years later, Ruby’s still with us and now she’s a successful Premier Inn Hotel Manager. Here’s what Ruby says has been key to her success over the last decade 👇 🤝 “Having a supportive manager - the right person believed in me at the right time!” 🏨 “Completing a Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeship equipped me with loads of skills to use across different roles.” 🥰 “Having an incredible team around me. Everything I do is motivated by my team, and I want to be the best I can be for them!” Growing up, Ruby dreamed of becoming a tattoo artist, but once she stepped into hospitality, she never looked back. Her first manager, Mike, said: “I’m really proud to say I hired Ruby into her first role with us aged 16, based on the fact I’d been given the same opportunity at 16 years old. It’s amazing to see how Ruby has progressed through our restaurants and hotels and is still committed to giving her best and achieving her goals. 2 qualifications achieved with us! 🤩🙌👏🏨 As part of National Apprenticeship Week, we’re continuing to share some of the amazing apprentices across our business and today, we’re spotlighting Premier Inn Hotel Manager Charlotte. During her career with us, Charlotte has completed two apprenticeships, 'breaking barriers' throughout. Charlotte says: “I was quite apprehensive about apprenticeships… I have ADHD and dyslexia, so for me, anything education‑based doesn’t really fit. I think I wanted to do an apprenticeship to prove to myself that I could do it, and break the stigma and the mould a little bit! I’ve noticed such a difference in myself since starting an apprenticeship - the main thing being that my confidence has grown and I no longer doubt myself.” We’re so proud of everything Charlotte has achieved, and how she has used her apprenticeships to grow her career.
